Excellence in Social Enterprise

Red Earth

Red Earth provides a way for Indigenous Australians from remote homelands to host young people from the city.

For two weeks, high school students live with the traditional owners and local kids, volunteering on projects and learning about the world’s oldest enduring culture.

Established in 2012, Red Earth has provided over 1000 hours of training and provided contract based employment for over 100 traditional owners. They have worked on 72 small scale infrastructure projects and providing close to $200k on building materials.

More information about Red Earth can be found on their website -
